This morning I finished up the M family shoot from last week, along with taking a few pictures of some extended family. Again, it was freezing outside, but everyone did great--even 5 week old baby T.
Yesterday I had the privilege of meeting the L family. Unfortunately for all of us, it was FREEZING and blustery outside, but they were quite the troopers. Their mom mentioned to me that they hadn't had a family picture done since their son was an infant, so it was about time they had them done again. All in all, it turned out to be a great shoot.
I can't believe how fast time is flying! My baby turned 6 months old on Friday. She is currently rolling all over the place and working on sitting up. Here are a couple recent pics.
I had the opportunity to photograph the adorable M kids this past Saturday evening. Perfect conditions and great, colorful outfit choices made these pictures really pop! Little C had a bit of a hard time getting his picture taken, so I will go back this weekend and take a few of him and some extended family pics. Overall, a great shoot!
Recently I offered some of my friends a mini-shoot to get a few family pictures for Christmas cards and gifts. I met the H family at Carson park, and even though the lighting conditions weren't all that great for a photographer, we had a great time capturing both family pictures and a few of their son Z.
On Friday, October 30th, my parents and I took the girls downtown Eau Claire for some trick or treating. Every year, the businesses decorate and the employees dress up and hand out goodies to the kids. We had such a good time! Then on Halloween night, Gracie hit up a few houses in our neighborhood.
I apologize for not keeping up with my blog recently. Life with two kids is hectic--throw in a few photo shoots, relatives visiting, etc. and some things just fall by the wayside. I'd like to try and get caught up, so bear with me.
Here are a few pictures in honor of Gracie's 3rd birthday!
And of course I had to snap one of the sisters together!
I had the opportunity to photograph the I family at a beautiful park in Northwestern WI. It was fun to use all of the park's natural resources as my backdrop. Here are a few from the set:
After a long summer vacation hiatus, I finally got to get some use of my camera again. Tonight I had a photoshoot with the A family. We had a great time trying out some new poses of the kids. Here's a few that I got:
This evening, I got the opportunity to photography the W family. Carson Park here in Eau Claire is a great place to have some fun AND get some good pictures. Here's a few from tonight.
Tonight I did a shoot with the 3 H kids. We did individuals as well as a few group shots. We had a good time, despite having a hard time getting all 3 kids to look and smile at the same time.
Tonight I tried taking some pictures for the "photographing children" class that I'm taking. The assignment was two-fold. 1. Get a picture of the child in action, making sure that you freeze the action--no blur. 2. Take a picture of a child with back lighting. Here's what I got:
I have decided to pursue my passion for photography by starting up my own photography business ~ LB*Photography. Here is a sample of my recent work.
My passion for photography started about 3 years ago when my first daughter was born. I wanted to capture everything about her--every milestone, every smile, every moment. She is growing up way too fast, and I never want to forget how things were. I went out and purchased an expensive camera, thinking that it in itself would make better pictures. I soon learned that it's not so much the camera, but the photographer who makes a good picture. I have since taken a class on photographing children and have worked hard to get to the place where I am today. At the moment I am doing practice sessions. I would love to help you capture your memories and make them last a lifetime. Thanks for checking out my site.
